What are deepfakes and how can we spot them? Join us to find out.

Matthew Groh from MIT Media Lab will be presenting his research project, “Detecting Deepfakes: How to Counteract Misinformation Created by AI.” Matt is a Ph.D. student at the MIT Media Lab in the Affective Computing Lab, where he is studying the influence of collective and artificial intelligence on individual decision-making. This involves conceptualizing, prototyping, and evaluating data-driven sociotechnical systems spanning deepfake detection, teledermatology diagnosis, automated emotion recognition, and more.
