WiCyS Leadership Series: Anti-Asian Violence, Our Response and the Role of Leadership

April 15, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

WiCyS Leadership Series April 15 Logo

Leading with equity, inclusion and allyship is a conversation where we, as volunteer leaders within the WiCyS organization, agree to engage in a dialogue from a place of consent for all of us to learn and grow. The WiCyS Leadership Series: Speak. Listen. Community. cultivates the community and space for that dialogue.

The April session of the WiCyS Leadership Series: Speak. Listen. Community. will be addressing Anti-Asian violence. In the wake of the Atlanta shootings, the US is continuing to confront its history with racism; now it’s regarding the history of racism with the Asian community. Leaders in the public and private sector play a significant role in how organizations and individuals respond to help bring awareness to this issue. Join us for a conversation on how leaders, and all of us as individuals, can best contribute to decreasing anti-Asian racism. This will also be a healing space to reflect and share what has come up for us during this time.

Join us, April 15 at 1pm CT as WiCyS members, Jessica Robinson and Nathan Chung facilitates the discussion.

If you are a WiCyS volunteer in a leadership role and have not received an invite from Lynn Dohm, email her at lynn@wicys.org.

Upon registration, you will receive two articles that will provide background reading for the session. Preparation time: 10 minutes.
