WiCyS Leadership Series: The Power of Language and Microaggressions in the Workplace

Leading with equity, inclusion and allyship is a conversation where we, as volunteer leaders within the WiCyS organization, agree to engage in a dialogue from a place of consent for all of us to learn and grow. The WiCyS Leadership Series: Speak. Listen. Community. cultivates the community and space for that dialogue.
The June session of WiCyS Leadership. Series: Speak. Listen. Community. will be addressing the power of language and microaggressions in the workplace. Do we truly understand the meaning of the words we are using? There are words and phrases that are in the common vernacular today that have racist origins. This is an opportunity to learn more about how using these words can impact the workplace today. We will also discuss how microaggressions impact the workplace through language.
