SUMMARY:WiCyS | Security Training Scholarship
DESCRIPTION:The WiCyS Security Training Scholarship\, made possible by WiCyS Tier 1 Partners and Premier Supporters\, is a multi-staged scholarship opportunity for WiCyS members. Those selected will participate in a reliable pathway to launch and advance in their cybersecurity careers through skills development. The focus of this scholarship is to award WiCyS members who are seeking cybersecurity employment within the next 1.5 years. The program is designed for students and/or career changers! \nBuild and leverage the power of community. During each stage of the scholarship\, a cohort is established with mentors and peers to help guide and support recipients. This powerful network will be there through every step of the scholarship experience to lean in on. The collective strength of all involved is priceless. \nGraduates of the program will be ready to pursue careers in cybersecurity! \n\n\n\n\nAll WiCyS members\, over age 18\, are invited to apply.  This training program is composed of multiple stages. Each stage has specific criteria. DESCRIPTION:The WiCyS Aspiring Professional Mentorship Program connects undergraduate WiCyS student members with experienced mentors across the cybersecurity industry. This 4-month group-based mentorship experience helps students build core career readiness skills while engaging in a supportive\, empowering community. \nBased on NACE Career Readiness Competencies\, the curriculum equips aspiring professionals with the skills\, tools\, and mentorship needed to confidently enter the workforce and thrive. We will be accepting 300 undergraduate mentees and 100 mentors of all levels. SUMMARY:WiCyS | Tenable x AWS "Exposure Quest Edition" Capture the Flag (CTF)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the “Exposure Quest Edition\,” an exciting 3-day virtual Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge co-hosted by Tenable\, AWS and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS). \nThis virtual CTF experience is for WiCyS members that are college students and early career level professionals. Participants of the CTF can be beginner or intermediate level. Tenable is partnering with AWS in this CTF to host a virtual Women’s Leadership Panel featuring women leaders in the cybersecurity industry. \nThe 3-day event will be virtual ONLY from May 12 – May 14\, 2026. \nParticipants will work through engaging challenges in OSINT\, Cryptography\, Vulnerability Scanning\, Wireshark Forensics\, Reverse Engineering\, Cloud Security\, Web Exploitation\, Binary Exploits\, and AI-Driven Security\, using free tools such as Nessus Essentials\, Wireshark\, Nmap\, and more. \nThis opportunity is for 50 participants upon selections.
