DESCRIPTION:Join us for “Together We Hack\,” an exciting fully in-person Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge co-hosted by Amazon\, Fortinet\, and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS). Open to both experienced professionals and cybersecurity enthusiasts\, this event offers skill-building opportunities\, industry networking\, and career development through keynotes and engaging challenges. \nThe one-day in-person ONLY event will be held August 4th at Amazon – Frontier Office in Seattle\, Washington. The challenge categories may include AI\, web\, pwn\, networking and more. While participation is individual\, collaboration is permitted. The reasons are complex\, the stakes are high\, and the solutions are rarely discussed. \nDrawing on insights from Girls Who Code’s Breaking Barriers: Girls and the Future of Cybersecurity study and WiCyS’s new research\, The ROI of Resilience\, this session will examine what it takes to build and maintain an equitable and sustainable cybersecurity workforce. \nGirls Who Code CEO Dr. Tarika Barrett and Women in Cybersecurity Executive Director Lynn Dohm will connect the dots between early education and long-term workforce equity and sustainability. \nYou will learn: \n\nThe reasons why girls and women disengage from the cybersecurity pipeline\nHow bias\, belonging\, and underrepresentation worsen at each stage of a woman’s cybersecurity career\nPractical steps that employers\, educators\, and advocates can take to turn awareness into action\n\nWiCyS is proud to provide members the opportunity to earn CPE/CEU credits for attending WiCyS Webinars live. To earn CPE/CEU credits with the following providers\, you must meet the minimum requirements: \n\nGIAC/(ISC)2: attend for a minimum of 45 minutes or the entirety of the webinar\nCompTIA: attend for a minimum of 60 minutes or the entirety of the webinar (webinar topic must relate to the certificate being renewed)\n\nAttendees who meet the requirements can log into BrightTALK to print out their attendance certificates to submit for CPE/CEU credits. \nRegister for this webinar and view the recording if you are unable to join live.
