DESCRIPTION:Cybersecurity professionals are well aware of the digital threats children face\, but how can they translate this expertise into meaningful action for non-technical audiences? This webinar with hosted by WiCyS Strategic Partner\, Cisco\, will focus on the importance of simplifying complex cybersecurity concepts to create child-friendly\, approachable content that parents and educators can easily understand and apply. Attendees will learn strategies to communicate the dangers of the internet without overwhelming parents or creating fear. Instead\, the session will emphasize how to equip parents with the knowledge and tools necessary to encourage safe online habits. The discussion will also explore the role cybersecurity professionals play in developing educational resources that are both accessible and impactful for non-expert audiences. Participants will leave with clear\, actionable insights on how to make cybersecurity concepts more understandable\, engaging\, and reassuring for families. The goal is to extend cybersecurity awareness beyond the technical community\, ensuring the internet becomes a safer space for everyone\, especially children\, through collaborative and informed efforts. \n  \nWiCyS is proud to provide members the opportunity to earn CPE/CEU credits for attending WiCyS Webinars live.
