DESCRIPTION:What does it take to land a role at one of the world’s largest tech companies without a college degree? In this session\, I share my unconventional journey from self-taught technologist to cybersecurity professional at AWS — all without formal schooling. Now enrolled in college while working full-time at a FAANG company\, this is a candid look at the realities of building a career in tech through grit\, self-directed learning\, and the power of community\, networking\, and self-education. \nThis talk will touch on how emerging tools — especially AI — are fundamentally changing what it means to learn and grow in cybersecurity whether you have a foundation in formal education or not\, using AI as a personal study partner and research accelerator to leveraging it for hands-on skill-building in areas like cloud security and generative AI at Amazon. \nWiCyS is proud to provide members the opportunity to earn CPE/CEU credits for attending WiCyS Webinars live.
