Webinar | Transforming Cybersecurity Talent: Why Women Must Lead the Way

June 30 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Women are the fastest-growing segment of the global talent pool, but less than 25% hold cybersecurity roles worldwide. The reasons are complex, the stakes are high, and the solutions are rarely discussed.

Drawing on insights from Girls Who Code’s Breaking Barriers: Girls and the Future of Cybersecurity study and WiCyS’s new research, The ROI of Resilience, this session will examine what it takes to build and maintain an equitable and sustainable cybersecurity workforce.

Girls Who Code CEO Dr. Tarika Barrett and Women in Cybersecurity Executive Director Lynn Dohm will connect the dots between early education and long-term workforce equity and sustainability.

You will learn:

  • The reasons why girls and women disengage from the cybersecurity pipeline
  • How bias, belonging, and underrepresentation worsen at each stage of a woman’s cybersecurity career
  • Practical steps that employers, educators, and advocates can take to turn awareness into action

WiCyS is proud to provide members the opportunity to earn CPE/CEU credits for attending WiCyS Webinars live. To earn CPE/CEU credits with the following providers, you must meet the minimum requirements:
