WiCyS 2024 was the go-to event for cybersecurity professionals, students, and organizations. The conference is the flagship event to recruit, retain and advance women in cybersecurity — all while creating a community of engagement, encouragement and support at a technical conference for women and allies.
Conference Statistics
The 2024 conference was full of technical talent, skill-building and an abundance of inspiration. 115 sponsors embraced the power of paying it forward and engaged over 1,950 attendees in-person and 845 registered attendees virtually. The WiCyS in-person remains the flagship event for women in cybersecurity but, regardless of gender, is the only conference that ensures equal representation from aspiring and established professionals across academia, industry, and government.
1,050 scholarships were awarded, and 350 travel stipends were distributed. Over 500 volunteers helped launch #WiCyS2024. There were also 150 speakers, 69 unique sessions, 29 research posters, 21 countries represented, 12 featured speakers, five employer socials, six leadership events, five empowering and impactful keynotes, one Allyship Breakfast, and one capture-the-flag that contributed to making WiCyS 2024 a success!
