The Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) Chicago Affiliate and the Chicago CISO of the Year Program Committee invite all WiCyS members to the third event in their EMPOWERING WOMEN IN CYBERSECURITY series aimed at investigating CISOs perspective on AI adoption and risks in the cybersecurity area.

The event, ” CISOs perspective on AI adoption and risks”, will feature a panel of Chicago CISOs sharing their point of view on adopting artificial intelligence and its associated risks in cybersecurity. The event will take place at Cisco Systems (Old Post office Building), 433 W Van Buren St, Chicago, IL 60607, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, 4:00pm – 6:00pm, and will feature a CISO panel discussion followed by dinner and networking. Featured panelists include:
• Walter Lefmann, Director of Security, Chicago Trading Corporation and 2022 Mid-Cap CISO of the Year
• Shefali Mookencherry, CISO, University of Illinois Chicago
• Kenneth Townsend, Global CISO, Ingredion and 2023 CISO of the Year nominee

The event is open exclusively to WiCyS members and their guests – specifically, WiCyS members are strongly encouraged to register AND to bring a mentor! Our intent for the series is to involve the cybersecurity leaders of the future in Chicago by partnering with allies, managers, and mentors to grow together. We encourage CISOs to share this event with WiCyS members on your staff and to make yourself, your management, etc. available as attending mentors.
