Amazon’s “Together We Hack” with Fortinet and WiCyS

Join us for “Together We Hack,” an exciting fully in-person Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge co-hosted by Amazon, Fortinet, and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS). Open to both experienced professionals and cybersecurity enthusiasts, this event offers skill-building opportunities, industry networking, and career development through keynotes and engaging challenges.

The one-day in-person event will be held on August 4th at Amazon’s Frontier office building in Seattle, Washington.

The challenge categories may include AI, web, pwn, networking and more. While participation is individual, collaboration is permitted. The CTF platform will remain open for 8 hours!

120 WiCyS members
U.S. and International members that are able to attend in-person
WiCyS Members committed to fully attending the 1-day fully in-person Amazon x Fortinet CTF
Mid-career level professionals with 2+ years of post graduate experience

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attend the CTF event in person
  • Bring a government issued identification to register at the event
  • Bring a personal laptop to participate
  • Be an active member of WiCyS (including international members) 

TIMELINE:

June 10: Application opens
July 7: Application closes
July 17, 20, 21: Acceptance selections are made and commitment form emailed
July 23: Deadline for submission of commitment form 4pm CT
July 29-30: CTF registration details, event address, itinerary, digital badges, next steps will be emailed
August 4: Amazon x Fortinet CTF Event in person in Seattle, Washington

Tenable and AWS x WiCyS Capture the Flag 2026

Capture the Flag: The Exposure Quest Edition — Powered by WiCyS, Tenable & AWS.

Tenable will be hosting a 3-day virtual CTF experience for WiCyS members that are college students and early career level professionals. Participants of the CTF can be beginner or intermediate level. Tenable is partnering with AWS in this CTF to host a virtual Women’s Leadership Panel featuring women leaders in the cybersecurity industry.

The 3-day event will be virtual ONLY from May 12–May 14, 2026.

Participants will work through engaging challenges in OSINT, Cryptography, Vulnerability Scanning, Wireshark Forensics, Reverse Engineering, Cloud Security, Web Exploitation, Binary Exploits, and AI-Driven Security, using free tools such as Nessus Essentials, Wireshark, Nmap, and more.

The Tenable CTF is hosted on the ctfd.io platform and will remain open for the duration of the 3 day event!

AMAZON and HACKERONE x WiCYS Capture the Flag (CTF) 2025

Join us for “Together We Hack,” an exciting Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge co-hosted by Amazon, HackerOne, and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS). The two-day event will be held in-person ONLY on October 20-21 at Amazon’s HQ2 in Arlington, Virginia. The challenge categories may include AI, web, pwn and networking. While participation is individual, collaboration is permitted.

The CTF platform will remain open for 48 hours!

AMAZON x WiCYS Capture the Flag (CTF) 2024

Amazon Security will be hosting a multi-city Capture the Flag (CTF) competition for members of WiCyS who have 1+ years of post graduate industry experience. The event will take place on November 14th and 15th during Amazon’s 2024 conference.

The CTF event will be held in-person at three locations: Arlington, VA; New York, NY; and Seattle, WA.

The challenge categories may include web, networking, crypto, stego, recon, reverse engineering and pwn. Participation will be individual, but members will be allowed to collaborate.

The virtual CTF platform will be open for 48 hours!
