Google Cybersecurity Program
The WiCyS Google Cybersecurity Certificate is a 6 month beginner level cohort program. It will include 8 courses, kickoff webinars and technical mentors to provide support for the full length of the program.
WICYS GOOGLE CYBERSECURITY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
This program was developed to provide an understanding of the importance of cybersecurity practices and their impact for organizations. Learners will identify common risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, as well as techniques to mitigate them. Hands-on experience with Python, Linux, and SQL is also included in the module. The cohort style course is beginner level and does not require any prior experience in cybersecurity.
Throughout this program, accepted WiCyS members will:
- Have access to and support through a Slack workspace
- Have the ability to schedule 1:1 office hours with technical mentors
Requirements
- Willingness to commit 6 months to complete the program
- Participation in the cohort Slack workspace
Timeline
April 8: Applications open
May 2: Launch webinar
May 14: Applications close
May 20 – 21: Email notifications of acceptance
May 24: Commitment form due
June 3: Kickoff webinar and introduction to program
June 3 – November 21: Program runs
