WiCyS 2026 Conference

Gaylord National Harbor Resort and Convention Center | Washington, DC Area | March 11-13, 2026

You’re invited to network and grow your skills at the annual Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) technical conference. Apply for reduced conference rate registration and two nights of complimentary shared lodging. Pre-conference workshops will begin on Wednesday, March 11, followed by sessions on Thursday and Friday morning. The career fair will be held Thursday morning and afternoon, and Friday morning. In addition to these events, we have a variety of other activities planned throughout the conference.

SCHOLARSHIP TYPES

Student Scholarship: Student Scholarship applicants must be a WiCyS Student Member. Students are required to apply for a WiCyS scholarship to attend the conference (there is no general conference registration for students).

Students also have the opportunity to present their research in poster format at the conference. To learn more, visit here.

Faculty Scholarship: Faculty Scholarship applicants must be a WiCyS Faculty Member. Faculty are required to be a WiCyS Student Chapter Advisor or a WiCyS Faculty Member that has not attended WiCyS in the past.

Mentor Scholarship: Mentor Scholarship applicants must be a WiCyS Member and a Mentor in the WiCyS 2025-2026 Mentorship Program.

Military Scholarship: Military Scholarship applicants must be a Veteran, Military Spouse, or Active Duty WiCyS Member OR be a WiCyS member and show proof of eligibility (ID Me, DoD card, VA card, etc.)

Ally Scholarship: Ally Scholarship applicants must be a WiCyS Member who is actively supporting the WiCyS mission with direct involvement as an ally in a WiCyS program.

Equity & Advancement Scholarship: Equity & Advancement Scholarship applicants must be a WiCyS Member. This scholarship exists to provide equitable access to the WiCyS 2026 conference.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Scholarships provide reduced rate registration (includes all activities and meals) and two nights of complimentary shared lodging—March 11 & 12. Scholarship recipients will pay a minimal $50 registration processing fee instead of the full conference registration cost.

A limited number of scholarship applicants are also eligible for (not guaranteed) a $500 travel stipend (if local, $100 instead of $500).

Travel Stipends are a fixed amount of $500. The payment is made after the conference has ended. Awardee can decide the use of the $500. Receipts are not required. Suggested uses include airfare, airport transportation, meals not included in conference registration, airport parking, etc. There is no option to increase the stipend should expenses be more than $500. Stipend payment is made via direct deposit. Stipend payment requires completion of any volunteer hours (if applicable) or poster session participation (if applicable). Stipend payment requires attendance and signature at the Travel Stipend & Reimbursement Session on Friday, March 13 at 2PM CT.
