Each year, WiCyS enables 500 students at all levels to receive a scholarship to attend the Annual Conference. The scholarship provides two nights' (shared) lodging and conference meals at no charge - all thanks to the generosity of WiCyS 2019 sponsors!
And, in recognition of the valuable contribution of educators to the advancement of women in cybersecurity, a limited number of accommodation grants (two nights shared lodging) are also awarded to faculty.
Questions: Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to space limitations, WiCyS 2019 implements controlled registration. We are limited to 1,000+ attendees at the 2019 conference. To ensure success of the conference, we control registration to be approximately 50% students, 25% educators and researchers, and 25% industry professionals. The educators/researchers/professionals are critical for the success of the job/graduate school fair. This is why we cannot accept every student who wants to attend.
There are four ways for a student to attend:
Receive a scholarship to attend (the deadline was November 1, 2018)
Be part of a school's sponsored contingent (sponsorships available until sold out)
Submit a proposal and have it accepted for a talk, panel, birds of a feather, or student poster (the deadline for Call for Participation (CFP) has passed).
Be the WiCyS Student Chapter leader selected to attend (each chapter can register one student)
Now that WiCyS has grown to an organization, we require scholarship applicants to be members of the organization. Scholarship applications included an automatic membership subscription with an option to decline.
