WiCyS Leadership Series: Why a Failure to Attract and Retain Women in Cybersecurity is Making Us All Less Safe

April 19, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Leading with equity, inclusion, and allyship is a conversation where we, as volunteer leaders within the WiCyS organization, agree to engage in a conversation from a place of consent for all of us to learn and grow. The WiCyS Leadership Series: Speak. Listen. Community. cultivates the community and space for that dialogue.

During the April session, we will discuss the book IN Security: Why a Failure to Attract and Retain Women in Cybersecurity is Making Us All Less Safe, with special guest and author Jane Frankland. By combining stories, interviews, and data with practical advice, golden rules, and checklists, IN Security provides the means to understand why the numbers of women in cybersecurity have fallen, along with strategies for attracting, identifying, and retaining more women in cybersecurity. Jane’s book is essential reading for anyone in cybersecurity or looking to get into it and is an Amazon No.1 bestseller.

Join us on April 19 at 12 pm CT as the author, Jane Frankland, and WiCyS member, Jessica Robinson, facilitate the discussion. Upon registration, you will receive additional resources.

If you are a WiCyS volunteer in a leadership role and have not received an invite from Lynn Dohm, email her at [email protected].

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
