After implementing a pilot program in February, Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) is rolling out its student internship program this month.
WiCyS student members can apply for this program, which will help bridge the gap between them and their internship needs and opportunities available with WiCyS strategic employer partners.
In searching and applying for internships, this program will help reduce that burnout and provide a direct pipeline for members to be matched to a WiCyS employer partner internship. It also will give students access to the CyberGEN.IQ assessment to reveal their innate cyber aptitude. Those students not selected for internships are still walking away with a positive path forward.
Students should fill out the application, take the CyberGEN.IQ assessment with all modules completed by Sept. 19, and register to attend the assessment results webinar. WiCyS partners in this program include Amazon Web Services, Aristocrat, Bloomberg, Carnegie Mellon University – Software Engineering Institute, Cisco, Dell Technologies, Haystack Solutions, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Navy Federal Credit Union, Sandia National Laboratories, and SentinelOne.
