Application Security Specialist, Commonwealth Bank
Monica Zhu is a cyber security professional with substantial expertise in technology and cyber security consulting, penetration testing, data analytics and digital forensics services. Her industry experience spans banking, health care, federal government, legal and technology industries.
She is currently responsible for the Commonwealth Bank Group’s DDoS mitigation and Web Application Firewall capabilities. This includes service, strategy and consultancy spanning areas including risk assessments, scoping, estimation, control design, on-boarding guidance, security threat, risk and control advice across both the bank's domestic online channels and international subsidiaries.
Prior to this role, she worked as a penetration tester delivering ethical penetration testing, risk and vulnerability assessments, followed by mitigating approaches. Monica remains at the forefront of digital forensics, penetration and vulnerability assessments in the corporate world.
Monica is a GIAC certified Forensics Analyst and Penetration Tester and is currently enrolled at UNSW Australia as a PHD candidate where she is researching the next generation Data Leakage Prevention systems.
